It’s August and after the fail of July’s stretching challenge (What? Didn’t you know July was a stretching/yoga challenge? Perhaps because I made it a few days before I sprained my ankle, which turned my challenge more into a “How do I manage to do this? What can I do to make it heal faster? Puppy, can we walk a little less for a few weeks?” challenge) that I may have forgotten to write about.
Needless to say, it didn’t go well overall, but I did do the required exercises for my ankle and hopefully the swelling will go completely down any day now. ANY DAY NOW, you hear that ankle???
I digress. What was I talking about? Oh yes, the August Challenge.
This month is about storytelling. I’m not going to tell you how to tell stories, instead, I’m going to blog about some of the unusual things that happen to me. Stories my friends tell other people they meet as a way to break the ice. Stories of random things that start out normal and then quickly escalate into whole new levels of events beyond my control. Events that have caused people to say more than once that I should have my own reality show. While I think that’s an exaggeration, I must admit that not everyone seems to have gotten their head stuck in the Empire State Building, so maybe they’re on to something.
Right now the stories on deck are (in no particular order):
- Empire State Building
- Caped Crusader
- The Sound of Alarm
- Things Strangers Say
If I can fit in a fifth story, what would you like to hear? I’m taking suggestions, so let me know in the comments below.
